Importing a List of Suppliers or Customers
This video shows the process of importing a list of suppliers or customers using our software. What’s great about it is that the process is flexible and very simple.
In order to import your list, it’s as simple as copying and pasting. Be using Excel, this process of importing a list of suppliers or customers makes it easy to transfer data from any software package to Finale.
What’s great is that the process for suppliers and customers is the same. See the video below for instructions:

Hello, this is Rachel with Finale and this video we’ll demonstrate how to import customers using a spreadsheet to get started head over to your selling Tab and click customers and on this next screen select import here you can also find the customer import screen by selecting the import drop-down menu here and clicking customers below the paste box here you’ll see a list of the supported column titles for this import it’s important to include a business name or contact name for each line you’re importing you also have the option to add price levels and terms shown here in this example spreadsheet that I’ve created and if you’re wanting to create custom terms or Price levels you’ll do that from your application settings before your import add any other important information for your customers and you can see here two of my customers have notes and for one I’ve included an email address and once you’re ready to import your new customers copy this data including the headers and then head back to your import screen and finale Once ready just paste the data in this box here the next screen will allow you to map any unrecognized column headers and confirm that the data is correct the import example I’m demonstrating shows these highlighted names here which tells us that Finale will be creating new customers with this import if you wish to update customers that already exist in Finale you are able to do that in bulk the same way that I’m doing now but you must make sure your import name and this column here matches exactly the way it’s listed in Finale currently to update your customers simply include the column that you wish to add or update for your current customers once you’re ready to create your new customers click next then commit you’ll see your new customers displayed on this screen here and those are the basics for creating or updating customers in Finale using a spreadsheet
