Extensive Shipping Capabilities
Final Inventory has extensive packing and capabilities which goes beyond the basic operation of printing a pull sheet, picking the products and shipping the package.
- In addition to pull sheets, Finale Inventory can print out a customizable bill of laden documents for freight shipments. The bill of lading is a legally binding document providing the driver and the freight carrier all the details needed to process the freight shipment and invoice it correctly.
- Finale Inventory has the flexibility to ship orders in multiple shipments. This is helpful when you’re shipping products from multiple locations and/or need to ship a partial shipment due to a back-ordered product.
- Some companies have packing and shipping as two distinct operations. Shipments and transfers leaving from the company’s warehouse may be packed into boxes and stored on the shipping dock days prior to leaving. For companies that need to track the boxing and packing stages, Finale provides this functionality to allow companies to see the inventory status at all times.
- Finale Inventory has the ability to ship by lot IDs, and lot IDs are useful for companies who use FIFO (First In First Out) or LIFO (Last In Last Out) in their inventory flow. Case Packing Functionality
The inventory control software gives users the ability to track case stock items separately from open stock. This makes a complex task of sending a case to the wholesaler and an individual unit to a retail customer a straightforward operation. To keep management of this operation easy, simply create standard pack sizes for each product sold in multiples of units (i.e. a case of 10, 12, 100 units).
